Parallax 8 is an exciting way to reach out to a community of photographers. It was founded by a group of eight photography graduate students at Indiana University in the Spring of 2010.

This is done by allowing individual control over the website, each of its members is their own editor. The website is a limitless canvas for each artist. Interviewing and showing work from other artists, those outside of the program, as well as allowing potential and incoming graduates to get a feeling for the type of interests of the current students at Indiana University.

In addition to being a useful tool for the current and potential graduates the website can also be used as a medium for connections and communication. It is a platform for alumni to stay connected with other alums, current students, and future students. This will benefit each participating member, as it has become increasingly important to have connections with a diverse group of individuals and artist.
